Help for homeowners:
West Somerset Council, working in partnership with not-for-profit organisation Wessex Resolutions, runs a scheme to provide homeowners with subsidised finance to make essential home repairs Âŧ
Home energy upgrade
Lots of people in our area are worried about their heating bills or are struggling to heat cold homes. As energy prices rise, you want to use less â but how can you do that and still stay warm? A new, charity-led insulation scheme might be able to help Âŧ
Sandbags:
The Parish Council has a quantity of sandbags for defence against flooding and they are stored within the grounds of Kilve Court.
If sandbags are required by parishioners they should contact the Kilve SOS team;
- Kelly Stone 01278 741149
âĶwho will then organise their collection and delivery.
Parish pet microchip scanner:
There have been a number of occasions when dogs have been found without their owners and in several cases there was no collar or contact number. The dogs had to be taken into Bridgwater to be scanned, to obtain the owners details, which can mean a round trip of more than an hour. In order to reunite dogs and cats with their owners more quickly, the Parish Council have purchased a Pet Microchip scanner. This will be in the care of Mark Walton 01278 741095. Should you find a lost pet we can then hopefully reunite the pet with their owner.
Recent entertainment at the hall has included Take Art productions of Hunting the Giantâs Daughter by Adverse Camber and Yer Tiz by Nick White, a âSwing into Springâ Dance with music by The Night Owls and an Art and Craft Exhibition by local residents.Regular activities at the village hall include: Film Night, Coffee Morning (plus 100 Club Draw), Short Mat Bowls, Tai Chi, Cake and Coffee, W.I.
